sako751sg
Weight would give 54.5 points, length 13.5 and span 68% which gives you the maximum 4. Rest of beauty points should be around the 7-8 mark so would mean you would need another 50 for volume to make gold which it should do nay probs. Sometimes with the older beasts the skull makes a fair bit of the weight but its still a medal regardless. Cracking find. Pigeon Paul
Thanks guys. I think I will box him up and get him measured. I took your advise Sako and didn't boil, just used peroxide cream overnight and I am really pleased with the result. I am also quite surprised by how much weight they loose once dried out. Fisherman Mike
nice find! On a more morbid note, has anyone had the misfortune of stumbling across a human body?A keeper friend of mine has found 2,one on a beach in wales, some one having fallen of a ferry, and a car with hosepipe from exhaust ,suicide in oxford!Well thats his story and his sticking to it!Lol Yes sadly a suicide victim when I was 20... he hanged himself in a wood on a shoot I frequented.. It was a very disturbing discovery for me and my two friends It transpired he was a Business man from Bristol, his company had failed, his son perished in a cot death and his wife was having an affair with his business partner all within the space of six months... Poor chap.
TDRsniper
Hello all A really interesting thread as my son has become a collector having spent many hours in the fields with me, mostly rabbit skulls and a prized muntjack (I think) but I'm keen to understand a bit more about the whole "medal" thing can anyone enlighten me as to who issues the medals and what they are judged upon? Also is a medal issued just for finding a good sized skull as opposed to shooting the animal? Many thanks. TDR
