Ears
My advise would be to use Nigel Teague in gloustershire he has a courier section 5 collection and delivery service. he is the best there is around. you will find the back street gunsmith with lap the bores out, you really want them machined out and polished or if you shoot a regular cartridge you can have it regulated to that after being bored out, which i think in not such a good idea. where ever you send it make sure they are machined out and not lapped. I dont know of any gunshops that would be able to bore out your barrels without sending them away. Another place you can try would be Benjamin Wild and sons in Birmingham, again though you would need a section 5 courier. Teague has bored some guns for me over the years and always has been brilliant and the customer service to. cannot help much more than that really. best of luck with your quest. Gordon R
Nigel Teague charges £40 plus VAT. You then have to add carriage both ways - another £46. Total price - £142. Just had my Salvinelli Monaco done by Nigel, but sent it via Malmo Guns, near Lancaster. Saved about £20. I had to travel near Malmo, so that did not add to the cost. He made an excellent job - best I have seen. Most Gunsmiths avoid chrome lined barrels, as they are hard to ream out. If your SBS has non-chrome barrels, there are a couple of people near you, who do them for less than £40, for both barrels. Google Alan Myers and Vaughan Landless - both are around the Garstang area.
