YoungShotJonny
My uncle is a farmer and owns a large amount of land. He says the farm didn't come with shooting rights, it belongs to someone else. Does this mean I cannot shoot anything with my shotgun, or does it just apply to game for example. help appreciated thanks
scobydog
Your uncle can ask you to shoot vermin, this is a legal right for the farmer to do or ask someone else to do it for him, if the people who shoot the land have the rights to shoot vermin you will have to get their permission. If this is wrong i'm sure someone will correct me, also is it a syndicate or one of the times when someone bought the land and kept the rights then sold land on ?. TJ91
The land owner has the right to shoot pests on their own land and can give permission to 1 other to control pests in order to protect their crops/livestock Regardless of who owns the sporting rights
