pin
What kind of guns? FAC/SGC? Best off speaking to your FEO on this, its kind of up to them if the security is adequate. The law isn't specific about what you need to do, only that you should take all reasonable steps and that they should be adequately secured (paraphrasing). There is nothing in the law that states you need a cabinet secured to an outside wall or anything like that. When it comes down to it, its are you happy with the security? Will the fuzz be happy it is adequate?

kip270
Here it is from the Firearms Guidance, 19.20 If the certificate holder’s dwelling is a mobile home or static caravan, a different set of security concepts should be adopted. Details will be found in the “Firearm Security Handbookâ€. These are primarily concerned with the anchorage of the structure. That structure’s capability to store items securely may well require that an extra layer of security is needed to “target harden†the unit. It is unlikely that a gun room can satisfactorily be constructed within such a dwelling or unit of this type. So not all bad news

Hi mate. a mate of mine moved into a mobile home and is still there with his guns. Our local licencing dept did lay down a few doand don'ts but they did not just tell him he couldn't. He had to make sure that his cabinet was securely fixed to the frame of the mobile home, they said about welding it but that was not practical, so he put a concrete pad under the home that came up to the base of the home, he was then able to fix the cabinet through the floor into the concrete pad. There was also stuff about the home being secure and not able to be wheeled away. Not saying that all areas are the same and you would need to check with your Flo but it should not be a straight no. Hope it helps Cheers
