wildfowler.250
can someone enlighten me as to how the cartridge swap works as I believe mine is broken,(has been from day one). Procedure A: Lock off magazine pull back receiver/bolt change shell press black circle to close bolt,(it never closes) unlock magazine Is the above the correct method? I have also tried this as the above didnt work but it doesnt seem right: if I pull back the bolt, change the shell and unlock the mag,(as opposed to pressing the close bolt button which doesnt seem to work) it just brings a shell up from the bottom and jams with the heavy shell I've just added as a swap. I assume procedure 1 is correct but need to know before it goes into the shop. Appreciate the help! Cheers in advance! chrispti
Yes, you should flick on the magazine cut off lever, pull the bolt back ejecting the shell, put another shell in, press the bolt release button, bolt should close, flick off the magazine cut off ...... Thank you very much! The bolt doesn't budge at all when I press the button. It jams and I have to push it forward. Do browning give any sort of warranty? Cheers again for the info...thought it was stuffed!

Browning don't give a written warrenty, but if the gun malfunctions and is of no fault of yours, they should repair it. Did you get the gun new from a shop?? Did you get the gun new from a shop?? Yeah, new from the local shop in town that I usually use. I've still got the receipt so hopefully it'll get fixed. The gun is as new. The receiver is also playing up. There's a bit at the front of it which is separating when I pull the bolt handle back,(I assume its there so that the receiver can be taken apart and cleaned). So the bolt is coming back in two stages

That could be it. I've cleaned the gun plenty but never touched the bolt/receiver as I didn't trust myself. Just given the internals and ejection port a good clean to don't know why its playing up. I'll report back once its been to the shop cheers again for all the help!

The magazine cut off bit is not right though.
