tonyrapid177mk2 Posted February 16, 2013 Report Share Posted February 16, 2013 well it was such a nice day on friday that i decided after work i was going home for a quck tea..grab a gun and ammo and set of to one of my permissions to see if i could put a couple of rabbits in the goody bag..when i got there the fields were mostly covered with snow and the bitter cold wind had put a nice crispy crust on it...i walked across one field but it sounded like the german army marching on gravel so that was the end of that idea...anyway i headed back to the farm yard and switched the night vision on and had a scan around all the nooks amd crannies to see if any little eyes were watching me...and sure enough they didnt let me down...there they were the furry nibblers scurrying about as usual..i shot 2 then somone came down the yard with a red lamp flashing all over the place (the rats on here are very jumpy and all lamps do is make them go to ground) it was the father of one of the farm hands lamping rats..so this kind of ruined the suprise stealth of my night vision...but i put up with it and shot a few and missed a few i picked up 11 of what i shot.. he said he (shot 1) but i didnt see it..anyway not as good a night as i hoped but theres always next time i guess...happy hunting lads...atb Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
