jntree
hi all I've recently been invited as a guest on a driven stag and boar shoot in Poland, now my problem lies in the shooting I consider myself to be a good shot with my rifle out of the high seat or over the bonnet when out lamping, but I've never had to shoot vermin or deer on the run, can anyone tell me if there is anywhere I could go and practice this, eg moving targets with rifle as the last thing I want to be doing is turning up with no experience and wounding all the time!! or any info if you yourself have shot driven game with a rifle, pointers, tips, advice would be great many thanks
everycal
What an invite! Only wish I could offer some advice but have no experience myself unfortunately. Make sure you do pics and a write up!
EMcC
I have not used it but I am told there is a running boar target at Bisley, no doubt it will cost an arm and a leg tho. If you are used to using a shotgun then use the same tecnique when using the rifle. Good Luck
Dunkield
If you are a member of BASC you can go along to the BSRC running deer/boar days at Bisley, they are £40/day - not sure if that is an arm, or indeed a leg But as Eddy says, if you can't do that just practice shooting clay rabbits at various distances with a shotgun, it's similar to that, except they aren't always crossing of course but you get the idea.
