ferretfiddler
Have any of you guys ever used or owned a shot saver combo bore sighting tool. I know you have to sight in in the conventional way, but are they any good at checking your zero before going out. At £50+ each I don't want to waste money when I could have bought some more ammo. It could also help my mate, who sometimes struggles to hit a barn door at 30 yrds, no names, as hes probably 6 stone bigger than me ;-) Any help on this will be greatly accepted. phaedra1106
If you're changing or removing and refitting your scope they can be useful but otherwise apart from a quick check it's a waste of £50 (in my opinion). If you must have one there's a load on Ebay for around £20 - £25, have a look at item number 150845388945 as an example.
Glenshooter
Nice toy but at best they're only useful for getting you close to zero. The change in zero when cleaning/removing stock, removing and refitting a scope which has already been zeroed for that rifle, is less than these devices can help with. I just bore sight (using eyeball looking up bore) when fitting a new scope and it then it only takes a few shots to get zeroed after that.
