Zapp
Guys and gals I have taken the decision that I want to keep my AL391 in as nice a condition as possible, and am going to keep it for the clay ground (which is where most of my shooting takes place), after giving it a clang on a rusty gate the other week  . I have had an old Ugartechea 12g SxS lurking in my cabinet for a while, and have decided that I want to use this for knocking about and hide shooting. The problem is that the gun is currently choked 3/4 3/4, so any birds I shoot come in pre-minced! I want to get it rebored, probably to 1/4 1/2. Has anybody on here had this done lately, if so, what did it cost? Also, are there any gunsmiths in Northants or Beds any members would reccomend? If not, I will simply go through my local gun shop. Any help you can give will be appreciated. ZB
Browning
Norman Clark in Rugby (01788 579651) is an excellent gunsmith ZB. I know it's not Northants/Beds it's not that far and he does come highly recommended.
poppythedog
If you can go as far as Radlett, Herts then Ladbrook & Langton are very highly recommended. 01923 854639
Zapp
Cheers for the replies guys. I consulted one gunsmith today and was quoted £50 a barrel, which is probably about what the gun is worth... May have to rethink my strategy...
