The Ghost
I just thought I would sound the forum out, we offer shooting and wanted to know how many shooters also fish. I don't but know a man that does and he has said he would take PW Members out on a two day event. We do one days shooting and he would cover the next days Fishing for Pike. Fishermen should be experienced, bring your own gear, Pike & Zander winter & Bream & Tench summer... awesome wild course fishing in the legendry Fen Drains, Great local knowledge... Want to fish the fens but don't know where to start then we have the bloke for you. I thought it would be a great week-end for you Shooter/Fishermen please let me know as I think it would be a nice break. We have sorted some nice accommodation out as well, give me some feed-back on this as he is very good & a great bloke. Look for Terry Martin Member of Team S.O.S

The Ghost
Hi PP Terry is the fisherman so will ask him to put some more details on this thread. We can do this anytime week days or week-ends. The Fen Drains are fished by people from all over the world, Terry knows most of the places to go. Sir_Adam
Love fishing on the fens, (and shooting with SOS) had some awesome fish off the drains some real red letter days. That said I have put a lot of years into the drains and it has really paid dividends. For anyone who has never had the chance to fish the drains this is an awesome opportunity to go with a local guide, because believe me the fen drains are not only daunting & dangerous but getting a fen drain fisherman to impart his hard earned knowledge is no easy task. Take full advantage of this one lads it will be worth it
Northern Monkey
I don't claim to be an expert (just a very keen angler) who has s 18rs experience of fishing the fen drains & In that time I've fished for everything that swims in them....... I can't guarantee a catch but know the places where you are most likely to, whatever you want to fish for. If you've got your own gear & need secure storage overnight it can be left at my place or if you are a complete novice I'll supply the lot... Just let me know what you want fish for... Thanks for the feedback.....
fenboy
I have had pike to over 30lb from the fen drains with lots of others between 20 -28lb , I will not pretend the fishing is quite as good as it was but there are still some very good fish to be caught with plenty of double figure fish and the chance of a fish of a lifetime still. Northern Monkey
RB;s right, there is a hard-core of carpers that specifically target river carp, I think the 44 your referring to came of a small river close to me, however the Camb & Grt Ouse are popular spots, the small lake that I'm a member on has some awesome commons that the local lads poached out the rivers many years ago.. heres a piccy of one of the beasties, not me holding it unfortunately..
