Markr
ive been shooting (shotguns) for about 20 years shooting clays on locals farms and rabbits/pigeons etc but had never been to a clay shooting club.. recently whilst doing some clays on a local farm I met a chap who invited us to a local clay club (shaw & Crompton) so I had a ride up today (without guns) expecting to feel a bit like a fish out of water but there was no need, what a great bunch of lads from the moment we got out of the car to the time we left at the end we were made to feel really welcome, offord the use of several members guns so we could shoot a few clays whilst there. a really nice informal club with really genuine lads who are there for a relaxed fun mornings shooting. going back in 2 weeks with my lad (and guns this time) Edited March 3, 2013 by Markr
Daks
Most clubs are quite friendly, my local is. I have nowhere to rough shoot so I always break clays - It's good fun, aand practise. Enjoy
TrapFiller
The small informal one are great the one I work at try so hard to accommodate new shooters and people that have no one to shoot with. There always someone who you can go round with.
Markr
i'd probably never gone to a club for that reason mate (not wanting to feel out of place) but we were both made to feel very welcome so will definatly be going back. Savage10FP
That would be great, only been clay shooting a year and I prefer the non formal approach, Its why i like Rishton. I'm always interested in trying new places,
