Adamo
Thanks Niel, just had my eyes opened there, I never realised that you could do so much to co2 rifles!

Futch
Rather than souping up a ~'@$£^% gun get a good one in the first place! Don't go for co2 rifles, low powered and ****!
leon
Futch you want want to have a good play with one mate I think they are spot on for the right things.
1 of 5
Even the most tricked up Rattie will NEVER beat a basic PCP such as a Spitfire. I should know as I've had a few. Nice toys or medium range hunters but not a gun to spend a fortune modifying. Co2 (even bulk) is also way more expensive than air. One of the secondhand Ratties I aquired would have cost it's original builder around £400. Stupid waste of cash when a TX or S200 and bottle could've been had for less and would perform substantially better
Adamo
I think its the fun factor that prevails with co2, semi auto airguns? certainly squire, but trying to make do with a tool that isnt for serious hunting? hell no! These guys are well into tricking up something that doesnt cost much into wonder machines and I didnt hear them knocking our stuff once. The majority of 10 meter target guys use co2 guns so they cant be that bad!

Adamo
I have one answer to air shotguns.......
Futch
Yeah ive been looking into those for a while but dont really know what they are capable of, what would you say is the maximum hunting range for rabbits with a .410?
red_stag88
Not far, use something big in it like 3's. You know hushpower do a single shot silenced shotgun, why dont they make it into a S/a?
Adamo
Red that has been talked about in my circle of shooting mates for ages, I cant imagine anything handier that a semi auto silenced shotgun, in 410 or even better 12 bore, maggie munching machine!! Adamo
Futch, I reckon at 25 yards you would be pushing your luck with a 410, for rabbits anyway, but they are ratting machines, as most ratting shots are close rangers I dont know about the range on them. red_stag88
A better ratting weapon is a .22 pump action, .22 shotshells and a red dot sight.
Adamo
Never fired a pump before, the sound of it cycling a shell into the reciever is sweet though, like a semi when you cock it.
