Shooting with Fenny

Sorry no pictures but I thought this the best section to post this in.

Had a paid day out with Fenny yesterday and it was brilliant.

The day started very misty and didn't get much better so most of the birds kept to the trees.

I spent the first part of the day below a sitty tree and had plenty of birds over me but they were too high for my meagre ability. Fenny showed me they were possible ( he was across the field from me at one point) with a lovely 60 metre high crow.

The last part of the day was at a roost with a steady flow of (high) birds.

I had an excellent day and although I ended up with three, this was due to me shooting like a numpty and nothing to do with the number and quality of the birds which is obvious testament to the effort put in by Fenny and his colleagues.

Thanks to Fenny and nice to meet Terry and Vlad (also ta to Ghost for helping to make my appointment).

£25 for all day to PW members!

Check out the link to their new site in the paid shooting section.

I will definitely be going back (hopefully on a better weather day).

On that note I understand Roy and Scott are near me in SouthEssex so if you want to pm me I would be happy to drive us all up there on another date

Cheers

Barry

Many thanks Barry, I was outside the wood you lads were shooting in after work finished at 4.00pm.

I will put a short video on what I could see going in below, as you said it was very misty & we were suprised it would not clear.

I was going to shoot for the last couple of hours but only fired several shots from outside your area to move birds on (got two easy pigeon)

On a better day the bag would have at least doubled, Fenny has a habit of hitting very high birds and everyone is a 'lucky shot' IMO barry.

Very close to your shoot Barry, high birds on misty night so excuse poor quality

that a long drive for op shame you did not not have more birds but like we all no pays your moneys take your chances iv had many a rubbish day but still better than work

Hi Tony

Number of shot birds didn't detract from the enjoyment of the day so you are right, better than work.

Fens were glorious, even in the mist and good company made it worth the drive
