Hi guys, anyone know of an app for marking locations, ie when out walking by a river say i want to remember a place to try some fishing at a later date. I've looked at some of the 'where's my car ' but do they rely on street maps. Is there one that has a direction pointer thingy when your off road, or out on the moors.

On my samsung i just take a photo, and then when i want to find the spot again i open the photo, open the settings and tap get directions, this will open the map and give you directions to get there.

how do you do that, i dont see settings when i open a photo

Make sure you have location services switched on otherwise it won't work.

This is on a galaxy s3

Open a photo you took outside, then touch your settings bar on the left of the home button,a long menu of options will come up,if you had a gps lock on when the photo was taken there will be an option about 5 down stating GET DIRECTIONS,tap it and maps will open up with directions from where you are to where the photo was taken.

Always handy when in a strange city going out for a drink, take pic of hotel, get drunk, map back.
