decoy1 Posted March 22, 2013 Report Share Posted March 22, 2013 hi any one on pw used a laser bore sight collimator some one as lent me one to set my scope up are they ok to use on 17 hmr to set up. dosent explane much on instrutions how far you put the bung in end ov barrel dont want to damage anything cheers... crossy 666 Posted March 24, 2013 Report Share Posted March 24, 2013 I looked into them and I liked the idea to save on time and ammo if you are likely to be swaping your scope/rifle a lot. When I brought my last rifle the shop had used one on it to get it close but told me to double check it the old fashioned way before going out in the field with it. Dekers Posted March 24, 2013 Report Share Posted March 24, 2013 For the majority of people they serve little purpose, if you are a RFD they can help in day to day work setting up rifles close(ish). Most people can bore sight by eye close enough, and as you have been told in #2, after you get it close the only way to be sure is live fire!
