cremator
hi all can some please explain the difference between brettea urika syntheic 1 and 2 and what does it mean if it has kick off many thanks darren
sitsinhedges
Urika 1 and 2 have a slightly different design gas piston, not much difference at all really. Kick off is the recoil pad with a built in damper to absorb recoil better, though mine without kick off doesn't seem to have much recoil anyway. sitsinhedges
hi thank you i am looking at one at mo how would i no if it is a 1 or a 2 many thanks I recall the Urika (or Teknys) 1 gas piston flange was split in to 4 whereas the Urika 2 flange was split into 3. I believe it was changed to strengthen it. The gas piston runs on the shaft that the forend nut screws on to, remove it and the fore end to check. I would be happy with either to be honest. Urika 2 has it written on it Mine doesn't, but then it's a Urika Light. Has the Urika 2 piston though.
