When I picked up my t8 I was told this was a problem, and you had to ensure that it was fully dried before putting it away. I always spray some wd40 in mine shake it around and leave to dry on a radiator. As the t8 is made of thin steel it suffers from internal corrosion if left damp, moisture from firing.

You could try.filling the hole with weld. Or better still sleeve the defective area due to thickness of a material I would suggest tig welding this is less likely to cause further holes

Don't play about with it.

Get in touch with Peter Jackson and either arrange an exchange under guarrantee or a part ex with a large % for the perforated one.

Google Jackson rifles and you shouldn't have any problem finding them.
