subsonicnat
Hi guys, Question: Does the Zoom on a scope alter the point of impact: Or the Cross hairs move in relation to the amount of zoom: Thank you:
NIGHT SEARCHER
Your ( POI ) should not change if your Scope is any good. I have seen this on cheap and nasty chinese Scopes. Were you move the focus ring and the cross hairs move up and down.
subsonicnat
its a HAWKE 3- 12 x 50 ao ir .. With PARRALAX control: So really it shouldn`t alter the point of impact then?. Edited April 1, 2013 by subsonicnat
jamiedenny
Your poi should not change technically but if you are zeroed at 30 yards on 7x mag and you know your ranges using the mil dots (hold under one for 20 yards maybe) when you change to 10 x mag the mil dots will offer different ranges. Download chargun for free, you can play around and see the impact (pun intended) of changing the mag. That is unless you have a FFP scope (which you dont) these keep the same points regardless of zoom.
