FalconFN
Go back another night and you'll probably be tripping over them.
stubby
maybe they come out in daytime and not nights, my permissions is the same, all the signs, but sometimes I have better luck on warm afternoons than lamping
Blackbart
They are not daytime dwellers as it is a golf course, but go there in the morning and they have been in every bunker and **** on every mound on the course. Will try again in the middle of the night and then just before dawn and if they are not there then they must indeed be invisible

Gimlet
Have you had a cold east wind lately? If you have, like most grazers and browsers rabbits won't like it at all. They venture out only when they've got to and only for as long as necessary then head for cover. You see sign but they don't stay out for long so its pot luck if you run into a couple. They often skulk in the bottom of hedges as well and avoid the open, so if you're lamping or using NV search the base of hedges and bushes, don't just sweep open ground. Its not called a starvation wind for nothing. When there isn't a hard frost I'm finding they're more active at dawn than dusk at the moment. Everything will change when the weather warms up. Blackbart
Fair point about the wind The plan is to keep going at various times and later on in year to use ferrets.
