aris
Only a 410 at the moment but they do pop up on ebay; http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_odkw=lee+loader+12g&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0&_nkw=lee+loader+&_sacat=0 Heh - yes - looks like silly collector prices
turbo33
The Lee loadall is much smaller than you might think. Its about 3" shorter than a computer keyboard, and approx 3inches deep. It will also re-size your cap. The Lee loader is a real faff, have a look on youtube. You could buy one of these: http://www.siarm.com/product_info.php?cPath=2_105_19&products_id=117 Video here: But by the time you've added postage and VAT, it will be way more than a secondhand press just for doing the RTO. Up to you though. Edited April 11, 2013 by turbo33
huffhuff
Aris, I will bring my reloader next time I see you. They are very small and compact. You can even come over and sit in my shed reloading some if you like However, form what I can read into your posts, you'd rather the 'fun and excitement' of making a few cartridges 'old school' stylee. Which is fair enough, although i'm not too sure of the tolerances from using hand tools.

I think that is inherent in anyone who likes shooting/hunting, bushcraft, etc. - there is a sense of self satisfaction from self-sufficiency. I certainly want to give it a go - but like many hobbies in the past, i've gone in full-bore and then got full-bored, leaving a bunch of unused equipment in its wake :-) Which is why i'd like to go minimalist old school at first. Who knows - I may well take it further.

Guest cookoff013
the best advice i gan give anyone considering reloading is this, research what you want to do. learn how to do it. start reloading as best you can. you will always pay more to reload your own shells. some days you`ll win, somedays the wallet takes a hit. you are not married to the reloading press for eternity. i do buy factory occasionally, its not a secret. if you dont like it, dont do it. i like reloading, as i like proofing and oing soething different. currently i`ll be shooting 1500fps loads of #9, just to see what it does. my subsonic #4s were a huge hit (pun intended). now i`ve some 42g steel loads to sort and 1oz subsonic 12gauge, then i`m going to have a look into a different calibre. aris
Thanks cookoff - basically this is what i'm doing - asking questions here (research), learning as much as I can, then i'll give it a go.

00buck
I hand load 410 but not with a leeloader I use a hand press to resize and prime And a RTO tool to finish off I did have some lanes tools but they did not work You could not crimp or roll the case with them
roughshooter
I will have new lee loadalls in stock hopefully on Monday - 12g and 20g. I have mec presses, including progressive presses and I still think the lee is better!!Just my humble opinion Regards Graham
