BaikalsRule90
as above the fore end on my beretta 686s has rattled ever since i bought it about 4 years ago, it was only last week when i bought a new gun that i realised how annoying it was. when the gun is broken it becomes solid as a rock but when shut it moves left and right and a little forward and back. is there anything i can do to remedee this? thanks in advance, baikal
Lord Geordie
There is a procedure the gun smith can make to forend where the loop and forend locks onto each other. Sorry I forgot the technical name but there are adjustments they can make.and not too expensive. Basically they use a punch to drive the metal back! Unless it's completely worn out, then they will need to add metal by a small weld before fine tuning. This makes the forend fit tightly and also stiffens the gun when opening.
