30-6
When you see an open hole coming out of a mole hill, does this mean that the mole has vacated this area, and is no longer there, or is it where something has dug in ?

codling99
i allways wonder if the mole has left, but have still caught moles in areas where holes have appereared so maybe its where a opposite sex has joined the run?personally wouldnt thing a stoat or mouse would go in there but never know . 30-6
That's why i asked, to see if it was worth sticking a trap in, in a situation like this. Because i always understood that if too much air (oxygen) gets in the run they can detect it and block it up, so if a hole was there, there would be no mole present. I have caught mice and voles in the traps and seen pictures of weasles in mole traps. The holes i refer to always seem to be perfectly round.
