remmy1100
just got two new permissions this week ,walked one yesterday and other today.first farm has 60 acres of rape sown and has just sown 300 acres of wheat, aswell as woods set aside ect dont usually take the guns on first visit but i was hoping to do couple other farms on journey that i cover.so i took them when i met farmer he wanted me to shoot as i walked as crows were hammering his wheat sproutings.so I did got a nice hare on first field and counted over 30 pheasants i could of taken easily.there were loads of pigeons still feeding on acorns and plenty flighting from woods.shot the crows off and 20-30 pigeons that were on wheat and ill be back this week to decoy. the place is alive with pigeons though cant wait till they hit rape ,farmer says the woods house over 10.000 pigeons in winter and they hammer him every year . pic posted second farm i visited today to test out a new rifle i got me lad he had footy match .stepped onto first field of rape two rabbits first rabbit 23 yards head shot stone dead second 30 yards head shot stone dead i think me lad is going to like this gun first two shots two bunnys, walked rest of permission loads of warrens but no more bunnys ,then i see why large dog fox running along fence line ill be back tonight ill let you now how i get on.pic posted

bigbeno
I walked my permission today gun in hand just in case. Didnt see a single pigeon or rabbit. Lots of crows but always too far away. Oh and more seagulls than you can shake a stick at. Will have to try later in the week.
