plank06
As said in the title, has anybody tried these camo it kits, retailing at 49.99? If so, is it easy to do? From past experiences with vinyl kits I'm guessing not but please correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks in advance!

plank06
Wups!! Is there much neat cutting involved though mate? Any good or bad points apart from it not sticking?

kimh
it takes longer than they say, clean and clean again; not enough wipes are supplied, don't over heat; material stretches but glue doesn't, have more sharp blades ready; supplied ones go blunt, do end caps and deep pockets first; with smaller cut peices wraping the ends? then sides to overlap; cutting short of edges, edges can curl if left as pointed corners, when finished re-heat gently and apply even pressure, do not rub hard as it can burnish, the kit will do more than one project and it will form to the shape just stretch it whilst applying heat, if you mess up peel and do it again... there's a few pointers but until you have ago you wont know for your 10% follow this guy at the 2012 shoot show and if you want a different pattern from advertised on the web site just phone the shop and they can print it? mrmints
A word of warning, watch out for wrinkles/crinkles etc etc I used the kit on an old air rifle and didn't do a particularly great job (I have zero patience). However, I noticed when I took the tape off (I didn't like the look or feel of it in the end) that where I had left a few wrinkles in the wrap, rust had built up.
