NickB65
CAMBRIDGE - near BURWELL Well I took a friend out this morning as he wanted to try and capture some birds in flight with his camera. Went to one of my hot spots where I always get birds and zilch, nada nothing. When they did come over he was up and down with that bloody camera like a Jack in a box. After two hours we went to another spot on a flight line and set-up under a pylon. Slightly better and we bagged five here but the only way I could keep him still was to make the hide so small he could hardly move. He even got one with his third shot! Got my first double hit - one with each barrel and as they where quite high I was well chuffed. Got some nice pics of one of the shots as well so hope to post them up when I get them. Strange day though - not much movement in the sky. Those that where around did not decoy well but that could have been due to David Bailey with me. Looking forward to going out again during the week if the weather is better.
Cranfield
About 15 years ago I worked with a photographer who got a new video camera and he wanted some "action" shots of shooting. You can imagine the rest..........we went to a "productive" field, not much showed up and what did I missed quite spectacularly, we got caught in a cloudburst, his car got stuck in the mud and he dropped his camera in a deep puddle. I have never done anything like that since.
