Jason Dutch
Does anyone know any good Wildfowling clubs near or around the Hertfordshire, Essex and Bedfordshire? I don't mind the travel to be honest but I have a feeling if I rush into a club then find out by meeting people, they then suggest another club a bit closer to home. Iv never joined a Wildfowling club before so would like to hear of any feedback other people have had. Iv email to name a few, but even thought had some great info back, you just never know unless you've been. So any info would be a please. Thanks
oxfordfowler
Why not get a copy of the BASC wildfowling day permit publication - try a few different clubs this coming season using the day ticket scheme. Then next season you could join the club that you felt met your needs best. Just a thought.

Penelope
Jason - The Blackwater Wildfowlers Association are probably the closet to you ( you could be on there marshes in about an hour and 15 max. for the furthest) who will take on new members (no waiting list or restricted membership) They shoot over 5 marshes on the Blackwater (Malden, Essex) and 1 on the Crouch. They encourage new membership and the cost is c. £240 per year, and are a very friendly club. Google them for contact details.
ayano3
If you have never been Wildfowling get day tickets for a start, or go with someone as its not for everyone. Dont go out and get all the gear as that would be a mistake if you dont like the sport. Meantime I hope you get your BASC stuff.
