fuzzypigeon
Off out on the stuff at the weekend.....farmer said there was quite a few on it. Anyone had success on the stuff I've only shot it just before and just after harvest. Any tips?? Is it anything like shooting rape where more decoys the better?? lakeside1000
I often decoy over new beet but its not as productive as rape or new seeded barley, but often its the only place I can decoy at this time of the year, the barley and wheat are too tall now, I get the best results if I set up as near to a flight line as possible, they don't seem intent on landing to feed but they cant resist coming in for a closer look at the decoys, got 13 this way on Monday, out tomorrow doing the same weather permitting, don't forget to keep an eye on any grass pastures, when freshly cut the pigeons love picking up the clover, always worth a try.
