Donating children's country clothes

Recommended Posts

I was talking to me eldest daughter (8) last night and she was wanting to come beating this year with the dog; the conversation came around to clothing or money for the services of beating. This involves me buying her a new country garment each outing - which is going to be expensive - and wont last that long. This got me thinking - could we recycle our childrens country clothes in PW to other members for a donation to a chosen charity. This way it might encourage the youngest to join and get active before they become teenage sloths.

It might be more trouble than it is worth?

Her first item is a country check shirt.....and a tweed jacket.......and a matching tweed cap. This does not bode well for the wallet in years to come

This is all a bit alien to me but do children have to wear matching tweeds? the organisers could be mindful of costs and bend the rules a bit and have them wearing darkish green clothing. I think I'd want my kid to wear a bright hat to be seen, but like I say I've never been involved in that but would fancy a go sometime.
