Bloggs
I have a 3 1/2 " chamber Maxus that i use in the field, If i'm honest, i'm a Beretta man, however The Maxus is the only Browning i own and all i can say is that it is superb, it has been 100% faultless, it's never put a foot wrong. The only downside to the Maxus is the price, but having said that to have a gun that wont let you down, then it's worth every single penny. I've shot the Beretta A400 that was owned by Bloggs and i think the Maxus is the better gun, and it's so easy to strip and clean. I concur with Chris here, also, I'm fairly confident that you will not be disappointed with the Maxus :-)

Fib new
I've got the A5 -pleased with it. I wanted a inertia driven s/a and not a gas-operated s/a. It doesn't like 24 gram loads, but works with every other load I used till now. Like the gun very much, and use it for all my crow, pigeon and wildfowling at the moment. Recoil is not as hard as people make you believe -in fact, it's almost the same as my old browning gold. I don't feel a lot of difference. For my own idea, it seems the A5 is a little bit slower in reloading after a shot. But that doesn't realy mather to me since I don't want to fire three carts in a second anyway... Danoi99
Really happy with all the helpful comments from everyone. The Maxus will be sharing the cabinet with my trusty Russian hammergun !! I will probably have a crack at re-doing the chequering on the old beast, and restoring the stock to it's former glory. It only cost me £100 but has had a couple of thousand carts put through it, I have had High Gun a few times with it ( 44 out of 50 ). I have even named it: " Bollokov". Thanks for all your input
Churchill
I'm sure you will be happy with the Maxus, You say your trusty Russian Hammergun has had a couple of thousand carts through it. I had to laugh as I've put over 150,000 + shells through my S687 over the years and its still going. When it comes to reliability and quality Browning and Beretta must be doing something right. Nice one Churchill !! I said that I have put a couple of thousand carts through it............it looks like some old russian had already put 150,000 through it. And judging by the state of the stock, I'm sure he used to club foxes to death with it once he'd run out of shells !!! It really is a tatty old pile of **** sir !! But it does make me smile when I beat our local " Top Shot" with his Blaser.....or his DT10..........or his Perazzi !!! Will be nice to take the Maxus out pigeon shooting as 32gm no6 through the Baikal aint much fun after 100 or so shots...........not talking about the recoil ( although its very noticeable ) it's the blister on yer thumb from pulling the hammers back all day !!
