Nice gun! What's the going rate for a 5 shot mag for one these days anyway? Could always use a spare.

PS I saw someone,(online) who found a 19 round 581 mag,(fits the 511) now thaaats hens teeth!

The mags are 8 shot, but to preserve the spring i only ever stick 7 in. I got two with the rifle and last time i saw one for sale i think it went for £30. Its a shame that CZ stopped making them when they ceased production of the rifle because there must be thousands of them round the world and they really are a fantastic rifle. Really could do with someone who's good at metal fettling to make some, but just bigger capacity.

I tried to buy one off the BBS, the guy wanted £40 so I declined seeing as I have 2 anyway. I've just managed to get a lovely walnut stock for it FOC, once I sand it down to removed the scratches and oil it, the grain should come out lovely.

Parts may not be available for them anymore, but I don't think it will ever need any if the wear rate from 1994 to now is an indication.

nice gun, I'm about to customise mine... strip, flatten, engrave, lighten and seal stock, chop the barrel to 300mm and rethread, Duracote the barrel, action and parker hale moderator.... and a few other things :)

Once I'm done shes going to be the ultimate go to all weather carbine.

and the 50 round drum mag I have in the making should make things fun.

Cheers, your plan sounds like you'll end up with the ultimate bunny basher!

I'm keeping mine standard as apparently these are fetching good money in America with the values going up........not that I will ever probably sell it unless I need something with a bigger mag for club comps........fancy making another drum mag :whistling:
