land inspection

Recommended Posts

When I applied for land to be cleared in North Yorkshire, the land inspection was arranged through Durham(closed ticket). They contacted North Yorkshire FEO Paul Fowell who I met at the permission and he cleared it for Cal after a walk/drive round. He told me then what he was clearing it for & update the database when he returned to the office.Got a call from Durham 2 days later

All within 2 Weeks my other perm in north yorks had already been passed so as being on closed ticket I just emailed the info to Durham.I got reply next day via email stating they cont farmer & it's added to my file.Closed tickets are not that bad.Paul Fowell does prefer you to be present which i personaly think is a good idea. You can then explain any areas of concern for example footpaths & what cause of action you take when near these area's.Plus make sure you know your land & what lies behind every hedge.I find its also a good idea to print off a couple of google maps of your perm with the boundries clearly marked.Get involved and dont be afraid to ask questions or ask for his advise & dont come across like a know it all.

Good luck Dave
