Bazooka Joe
Has anyone had anything to do with the above outfit............... Reason why I'm asking, a friend of a friend has just bought an Archer-Day-Night-Scope of them, hefty price tag around the £1400 mark. His problem now is the bush that connects it to the scope. Youv'e guessed it, he didn't get one, they were going to send it up in the post, which they did, two of them, both the wrong size, with instructions to find someone with a Lathe to bore the inside dia out. At the time he bought it, they took the dia of the scope he was going to use, with promises to forward the bush in the next couple of days. That was on the 2nd Nov. Being on the phone a few times since.......................same promise.............................still waiting.....................? Now we are not talking £20, for the price tag of £1400, I would expect handstands. So, he has a Archer-Day-Night-Scope sitting doing nothing, already to go on a 22-250, at the moment can only be used for a spotting scope, & an expensive one at that.........................!!! Doesn't do the enthusiasm any good if you want one, with after sales service like that. Anyone else with the same experience as my friends friend......... BJ. Placed an enquiry with a dealer on south coast about two weeks ago, still no reply. Also phoned starlight and left message on ansafone. No reply from them either. Bazooka Joe
Nildes, Your a bit luckier than this lad, as in you've only being waiting a couple of weeks, he is nearer five, & the best thing about it, he bought one..................!!! The mind boggles, interest in one is fading fast, BJ.
Lord Geordie
I would say the fact they sent 2 converters out proves they ARE trying to do the right thing Trouble is Scopes O/D's are a whole different variety of sizes so the odds are there MAY be trouble getting the right rubber bushing. I had to use some electricians tape to bulk out my scope for the bushes to fit mine. LG
Nildes
For better than £1.5k, I expect not to have to be resorting to duct tape! I also expect to have calls returned.
Bazooka Joe
LG, you must have skipped passed this bit; "At the time he bought it, they took the dia of the scope he was going to use, with promises to forward the bush in the next couple of days." Instead they sent a couple of bushes the wrong size, with instructions to find someone with a lathe, after he's spent £1400...They had the right size, cause he took the scope at the time......Also he's being on the phone half a dozen times. Not a very good advertisement... BJ.

Moral of the story - don,t pay till you got everything you ordered. On a more positive note i will say it is one awsome bit of kit.
