john12
Was thinking of treating myself to a new choke for the a400 and was looking at the new anaconda choke from pattern master. Will mainly be used on the foreshore. Just wondered if anyone had used one and which to go for the medium on long range. Many thanks John
Terry P
My mate had the long range in the black range and he could not get on with it, it was very tight and although he had a few very tidy shots and kills with it, he had far more screaming close misses. If you are just going to use it for geese and are able to take them at decent range and are a very good shot then I would say its fine but if on the foreshore you have them coming at varying ranges the tighter choke will either result in missed or messed up birds. I have the kickoff in mod and get on just fine with it.
tex2
I use the code black long duck choke in my benelli semi, very tight pattern out to 50 yrds , not good for decoying duck , should be fine on the foreshore on geese etc. I ve used it when deycoying pigeons with number 6 shot and had to put the pattern out to 45 yrds to get results , im thinking of trying a mid range anaconda on the flight ponds and river this time.
