Decided to have the last go at the ducks for this season and get ready for roost shooting throughout fed. Started off walking through some sugar beat and the dogs flushed a hare & minutes later a vixen witch both were accounted for. A few wood cock were flushed (&missed) then a cock pheasant was added to the bag . got sat near the pond and watched the firs ducks arrive 2 shell ducks ,followed by a team of teal a cock teall was shot then a brace of mallard were haded to the bag ,3 canadas came in one was shot ,the dogs worked well retrieving the birds ,so a happy end to my duck season,

Saw a few ducks dropping into a potato field ,with all the rain in the last 2 week plenty of standing water about thought may as well have ago. plenty of ducks showing up as it started to get dark,shot 6 mallard & 1 teal

No its my gun ,or should I say was mine, first time hes shot on a pond ,had duck flying in from all angles in groups of 4s and 6s, fair play he didn't panic just picked his bird out and did the job,then to top it all he made my dog sit and watch his dog do all the retrieving.

, 6 shots 4 ducks 2 teal and 2 mallard, that's how you do it dad,all the way home. So I said youre dogs only picked 3 ,his replie was ,3 more than youre dog. (no coment)

Had 6 mallard this morning , 4 clean kill and 2 hard hit and falling 60 yrd away ,both retrived stil alive,The steel shot I was using was 32 grams ,n,4 plastic wads,STEEL GAME HULL CARTRIDGE, useing a bennelli crio evo with a anaconda mid range choke, Any one else useing these cartridges,Good or bad?Tod was useing the same cartridges last nite . Any one suggest another make or shot size they are having good results with.
