Jerry Picked one up today and they also gave me a £10 gift voucher valid for 12 months so very good value. Not tried it outside as yet but in a pitch dark room it works very well. For the price I wont be complaining. Comes with a 3 year guarantee by the way. Might be worth comparing to the Lidl one for spec.... sandersj89
let us know how it performs Given that it is a foul night here, full cloud, wet and windy I was not expecting great things as they rely on ambient light/star light to work being GEN1. But I have to say they are great, illumination out to a couple of hundred meters at least. Movement and eye reflections show up very well indeed. Even better when you switch on the IR illumination but that is limited to about 50m. It will work great as a spotting scope and also good for wildlife viewing up close. Should be fun to watch the badgers on the farm! Not many furries ones out tonight but our cat showed up a treat working a hedegrow about 100m away from me. Worth the money in my honest opinion. Eyes were very very obvious. I was also looking at some sheep at the far end of the field and I could see them fine. Might be hard to spot a bunny at 200m but the ewes stood out fine even better with movement. Could not persuade her in doors to go creeping around in the wet grass to really test it though! I am thinking that using it a red filter on the rifle scope will make it even better for long range spotting. But, for £59 after the voucher I am not going to complain. pin
Don't know if anyone else is finding the same thing, but mine seems to be getting better the more I use it. I don't mean when its warmed up, I mean its better today than it was yesterday in terms of clarity, the ambient light is a lot worse today, at the moment no moon and its lashing it down whereas yesterday it was crisp, still and a good moon out. Anyone else noticed this?
