wildfowler.250
My friend is selling his steelmaster for the 10 bore second hand,(I don't think it's been used much). How easy,(and more importantly expensive) is it to convert it to a 3.5" 12g. And the same goes for loading 3" 12g shells? I have the 10 as well which would be handy but I use the 12 much more. Keen to fork out for it as the price of decent wildfowl cartridges is astronomical anyway! ps what would be a good price on a s/h steeaster? Many thanks
edenman
See roughshooter he was selling his 10 bore mec at a very good price with plenty of extras. IMO you would better getting a lee loadall for your 12g with a gaep finisher. A lee will crimp 3.5", 3" and 2.75" cases with no need for adjustment or farting about with things. And get a rto for your 10g. There is no doubt that a mec is a quality loader but with these gaep finishers i dont see the need. So save yourself some cash. wildfowler.250
Thanks Edenman. I don't know much about the lee and the gaep finisher? But I'll look into it. I might be selling the 10 anyway and just load steel for the 12 so the lee might be a good shout. Only reason I thought the mec was handy was because there 3 in the family shooting so I thought I could churn out a lot of shells in a short time
