mry716
Just to put PP into perspective. It is excellent ammo and now having tried 222, 223, 22-250 (50 and 55gr) 243, 25-06, 6.5, 270, 308 (150 & 180gr) I can say that whatever it has been used in it has provided around 1" groups or better. There may just be a problem with 243 as there are two sources and the ammo from one source is to my mind suspect. This is in the boxes that are predominantly white rather than the standard box which is Blue and some white. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v356/mry...Partizan/PP.jpg The brass is also excellent being in my opinion up to Lapua standards in everything but chemical composition. PP made case making machinery before making ammo and Lapua brass is all made on their machinery. So as you see it has to be good. I took various cals to pieces and weighed and measured them (search for full review on Guntrader about 12 months ago) and I found the powder weights round to round to be better than the majority of other so call 'best' names and the bullets were concentric and virtually identical in weight. The only are of discrepancy was brass weight and on some cals the variation was greater than expected but certainly well within acceptable tolerances. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v356/mry...amestrimmed.jpg My suggestion would be try it for yourselves. I now use some cals such as 25-06 and 270 as it is cheaper than reloading and with 3/4" groups who can complain. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v356/mry...izan/270JMG.jpg First 5 shots (.270) with PP ammo at 120yds off bonnet resting on bag. Who could ask for more?
rogo
I was faffing around trying to get .222 homeloads spot on. My local shop had some Privi in stock so I bought a box. After 3 shots I went and bought the rest. Single hole groups at 100 yrds. And I mean single!!! Simply superb.
