I have a hmr and recently found an anchutz wmr. The accuracy of the wmr is superb and not bullet fussy like the HMR. Both have their uses but I think I will be using the wmr an awful lot.

I too was out last night. Farmer complained of two Foxes. Went to the farm at 6.30, Fox sat in middle of field. Couldn't get him to come to a call. He walked off so I decided to get in position further up a hedgeline. As I sat down he jumped out from "Underneath" me and ran off taking my heart with it!!. Not to be outdone, I decided to stay and see if he showed up again. 9.30 came and a Fox appears, shot him with my Remi .223, by 9.50 I had another 5 on top. 6 is my best ever and I will be going again tonight. Will take a camera this time though.

With the 1-8 twist I would have thought a round of 55g or above would be best. I know Sako 55g softpoints get a good following.

OK, Remington 700 SPS .223. Norma 50g V-Max ammo. Top group with the mod off. They were shot at 100 yrds. It took approx 25 rounds after thoroughly cleaning the barrel from the box and shoot one clean one, then all of a sudden the groups shot as above. Absolutely superb rifle! Mike.

Anyone guess which Brand new bog standard factory gun and factory ammo shot these groups. One with mod on and other with the mod off. Mike.

Am I the only one that thinks the Rem 700 sps is a better gun than the T3? Probably!!?

I have a Dragon Mod going spare (not for sale though). You can borrow it to see what you think and then you can decide if you like it or not. Personally, I have used both and the Utra is thinner, but longer and certainly heavier. Mike.

I believe the 2000 range are Steel bodied and the 3000 are Aluminium.

I have a set of double clamp sportmatch high mounts that will fit. All you have to do is knock the recoil pin out. They will fit the CZ dovetail. £10 posted. They are virtually brand new and come with the allen keys.
