Scully Posted August 21, 2013 Report Share Posted August 21, 2013 Have no idea,but I'm sure wild broods would eat it if they found it.Wild birds will peck at anything,if they can't swallow it they'll drop it.I can't see why raised birds should be any different. Kes Posted August 22, 2013 Report Share Posted August 22, 2013 We only ever used cracked maize as feed for adult birds. They must take whole maize in the wild, as pigeons take whole acorns. I would say its best fed in a controlled way to a few birds at 20 weeks initially - just to check their reaction but they wont eat anything that is going to choke them.
