bicykillgaz
Right, finally got round to testing my first batch of homeloads and I'm really really pleased. Best result was 10.9gr of h110 although there were a couple of others that came close but as you can see 10.9gr at 100yrds is gonna be hard to beat! Just need to make some more and get it properly zeroed and I'm sorted. The big black dot is a 1" shoot'n'see target and was a 3 shot group shot at 100yrds. Thanks for all the advice on my previous topic too gents. Edited August 21, 2013 by bicykillgaz

Cheer UD, I was quite surprised myself maybe its just 3 flukey misses! Thing I found strange was an extra .1gr either way and it was opened up to almost an inch then 10.6 and 11.6 were almost identical to each other but a little over 1/2" yet everything in between varied out to 2" groups, no wonder guns are so fussy with factory stuff if .1gr makes that much difference. Underdog
Yep...its a lot to do with how that barrel starts wobbling about. Get it wobbling the same everytime and that bullet will go in the same hole. U.
bicykillgaz
I'm pleased I've found a decent load its just a shame they don't fit in a normal mag but I can't have it all ways.
Amazed
Gaz. I am looking into a calhoon single shot follower I will get a price shipped and let you know. Then just get a tactical stock sock thingy with slots for your bullets, you will be able to fire off pretty quick. Karl. Underdog
Dudes.....you should be able to remove the plastic magazine insert for Hornet and file it so it does accept your ammo.....thats what I did on my CZ years ago ! It is a 527 yes? U.

bicykillgaz
UD It is a 527 but the tool who owned it before me bodged the mag and now the spacer needs replacing, I can use it packed out as a standard mag but the rounds just overlap and jam as an extended mag. I've still got a standard mag which I bought but I'm reluctant to butcher it. I'm gonna see if I can make an extended follower at work and buy a longer mag spring from a .223 or something but still interested in the single shot mag conversion incase it doesn't work. bicykillgaz
It's not the follower I want make longer its the bit in the top of the magazine which your bullets sit on.

bicykillgaz
I looked on shop-cz.com and and the only follower listed didn't look anything like what I thought the follower was so I assumed I was wrong but obviously I was right first time round. Just need the measurements of a .222 and .223 follower and spring to see if I can make them fit.

kent
The std follower will fit into the modified mag, however an odd round will nose-dive and fail to feed in use. in short it has too great a clearance inside the mag housing. I'm gonna try cutting some small 18 or 16 gauge plates and tig tacking them to the back of the exsisting follower to fill the gap. I'll make them too long and use the linnisher at work to get them down to size and tidy it up. I made a longer follower for my modified mag You'll have to show me it next time were out mate.
