Well I got the beast back and had a little plink or two.....

1. Dieseling - does this mean it needs a good clean or has been cleaned and needs a good shoot - shot 50 through it and it does not do it now....

2. TWANG !!! - I know PCP's are quiet but this baby has a real twang like a cheap Texan whore.... would a tune reduce this?

3. TRIGGER - there is no two stage lady but a real sensitive whore that goes off with the lightest of touches..... time to search out the manual and tunes this me thinks

The following is the end of my plinking session with ten AA Diablo field pellets..... the first three shots where in the circle then I kind of went walkabout for a few shots and then got a little better - end result was four in and six out - shot at 30 yards.

Well, I'd say the old girl probably needs a strip down. The dieseling is a build up of oil in front of the piston seal, which burns off as it ignites at each cycle. Could be over greased (sometimes in an attempt to reduce twang). The twanging could be reduced with a tune up. A good fitting top hat in the spring end and a good fitting spring guide will help. You might as well drop a spring in while you're at it. The trigger will be adjustable on the screw next to the trigger.

Hope you have some fun with it.
