dazzyboi
Its only been recently, and about 4 times out of 10 the top ejector will stick. It only seems to happen after i fire a shot, iv tested on snap caps and they eject every time. Whats the easiest way to solve this issue? Lord Geordie
Over expansion of the brass cartridge base? Sounds more like a Cart prob than a ejector one LG
dazzyboi
Will have to keep my eye out, its only happening with these carts at the moment, never had the problem with any other. Will have to let you know, just find it funny that it always seems to be the top ejector each time
duster
If only one of the ejectors is sticking, it could be a weak ejector spring. Bear in mind that snap caps have nice smooth sides, whereas a real cartridge is slightly wider at the open end after it has been fired. This may cause enough resistance to prevent ejection. Try some different cartridges and see if this makes a difference. Hope this helps.
dunganick
if this was the case then when it does eject it would be very weak sounds more like the ejectors arnt cocking or not actually being released on opening the gun. What gun is it out of intrest? browning action?

dunganick
when i owned a lanber it very very occasionally would not eject or eject the wrong chamber, just seemed to be a trait of lanbers. Markio has this gun now and im pretty sure he will have noticed it doing it once or twice. But it just seemed like a quirk rather than a problem on my gun. If in doubt let a gunsmith look at it. As i said it only happens 3 or 4 times out of 10, but it can still be noticable. Ill give the firearms dealer/gunsmith a ring and ask, i still have 5 year warrenty does this mean if its got a dodgy ejector spring it will replaced free? I would imagine it would come under wear and tear you MAY need to pay for the part AND fitting if it's the spring It depends on HOW old the gun is rather than length of warranty. If it's a few month old it will most likely be done free if a few year most likely pay UNLESS you have a good Dealer. LG
