ratcatcher
been using the mk4 fenns on a chicken farm for over 12 months now, rats were a bit neophobic to start with, once the traps got tainted with chicken **** they started stepping on them and never had a problem since. My suggestion is u taint them with the surrounding (bury them for a few days ) soil or pig ****, manure, or even the dead rats themselves ect hope this helps and please let me know how u get on

dodeer
Hang em in a river for a week or bury them. An old pest controller mate of mine put his in a muck heap for a week!
ratcatcher
set the traps with the safty left on, place them along the runs for a few days, let the rats get used to them, then flick off the safty, good for initial treatment,
