stubby
anyone else here use a freelander to lamp from, as I've acquired two sets of fibreglass sunroof blanks, they are ideal for drilling and fixing a deben remote mount handle through, rather than drilling holes in your roof etc, I'm probably only going to use and keep one passenger side one, thus I'll have a pair and a drivers side one going spare, let me know if interested, Im sure we could find a trade
V8 90
It works great - I did the same when I had 1 !!
Tommo
Likewise - my TD4 ES was lifted 2" with AT Tyres and it went everywhere I wanted it too - Trouble is it was a Freelander so it gave up the goose and died very quickly and costly T
the pelt man
On my Freelander 1 I just cut a bit of ply to fit in the sun roof hole and then fitted the lamp in that. The lamp is fitted to the head end of a golf club handle, the handle is pushed through a drlled hole through a hard rubber dog ball which sits inside a hole in the ply panel that is nearly the size of the diamiter of the ball. The wire runs up inside the golf club handle and the switch is fitted to the rubber end of the handle, the ball pans and tilts and as its heave it holds the lamp in the position you want it so youcan lamp on your own.
