I have a 2 door JK 2011 model so has the 197hp and 460nm torque engine which is a lot better, smoother then the earlier 170hp model diesel. they still pull well. Ride is better then a defender on the road and on my daily commute on the motorway i get around 28-30mpg. They are not bad off road, really depends on the tyre.

The 4x4 system is either in 2wd or if you go into 4wd it does not have a slipping middle diff so it is like driving a 4x4 with the centre diff on, great off road but can lead to problems if you use it for extra traction if its just a "bit" slippy.

Love mine and had through shoguns and land cruisers, every trip feel like an adventure and it is a unique vehicle and the insurance is a lot less then other 4x4 as they have easily replacable bumper, doors etc so cuts repair costs.

regards
