scobydog
Hi , shot a cock pheasant yesterday and processed it today, whilst doing so I noticed a clear fluid between the leg area and chest area, this was almost like a weak jelly texture. No sign of anything in it worms etc, but I have not seen anything like it on the other birds I have shot, bird seemed fine otherwise clear eyes and internals all ok. This was only hit in the neck no meat damage. Sorry no picture, your thoughts please. Scobydog
filzee
I have had this a few times before. No idea what it is so can't help you there but I have eaten these birds and had no problems with them at all. Someone might be able to shed some light on this one. sako751sg
Its pretty normal on pheasants, usually between the legs and under the wings when the skin comes off and has never done us any harm.
