station
I am trying to cut down what kit I carry around so - I know that Beretta Mobil Chokes are the same thread as Hatsan second gen' chokes, but does anyone use them in their Escort? It would just mean that I would only need to carry my Teague Mobil extended ones with me, no matter which gun I picked up. Already use the Teagues with my Bettinsoli and obviously my Beretta, but when fitted to my Escort they don't sit entirely flush to the barell - about 1mm space left. Now I know that the end of the choke is sat flat and tight against the choke recess within the barrel, so in my opinion all should be good, but just wanted to know others thoughts. Many thanks. TIGHTCHOKE
I use a Full MANDEL Choke in my Hatsan Escort!
station
I use a Full MANDEL Choke in my Hatsan Escort! I've heard a few people say they use Mandel chokes, but I really want to use what I already have, rather than buy additional. Cheers. Lord O War
I also have a Hatsan Escort and I would like to get a Muller choke for mine but... as always there is a but, they list the mobil coke for the escort but that is for the older escort. Mine is a spanky new one bought about a month ago and has the extended chokes as standard that are nothing like the mobil chokes, the thread is in the wrong place. I have read that the Remington 870 chokes will fit and from the pics on muller site they do look similar and the ruler used to give a rough size would suggest they would fit. Does anyone know if they Remmington chokes do fit before I blow £70 on a choke that wont fit. A mate has bought some for his Beretta and they are really nice and weigh next to nothing. Lord O War
Just thought I would revisit this thread as I bit the bullet and bought a rem 870 Muller choke and it fits. It took a while to arrive as just choking didn't have any in stock and they had to wait for the US supplier to get them in stock. Not had a chance to use it yet as I am too busy sorting the house for a new arrival early in January! It is a much closer fit than the standard extended chokes that came with it and by that I mean if you have any crud between the barrel and the choke it will feel horrable as you screw it in. It certainly looks the part lol. and the other pic
station
I'm sure many with the newer Escorts will appreciate the info - I know what you mean when you say that your new choke is a more precision fit. I use my Teagues in my gen 2 Escort and they too feel so much more 'fitted' than the standard Hatsan chokes. ATB
