The big thing that hit them I think was when the military stopped buying them not just UK but other countries as well I think Australia went German Mercs

The Americans did the same when they stopped buying Jeep Wranglers but the US has something that we do not have lots of open spaces for people to go offroading so they had plenty of people willing to buy them just to have fun in them going where not many other trucks can go.

It was the tender for a new vehicle that went to GMC... and they came up with the HUMVEE. Australia have indeed gone to Merc

Having said that even the HUMVEE is out of date they are after something new

Is it just me or do other people think that it is a bit ironic the Germans making a trucks for other countries army's to use when they are not allowed or not willing to fight themselves.
