As the 85's are Barnes TSX I should think the info will be ok for 87gr V-Max. Monolithic bullets are known to reach maximum pressure at lower charges because they don't swage in the bore so easily. Redgum Posted October 13, 2013 Report Share Posted October 13, 2013 I have an exellent load for 87vmax, I used to use 43grns of H414 and cci primers but decided to change to viht 160 as I use that the most for my deer stuff in 100gr. cervusman Posted October 18, 2013 Report Share Posted October 18, 2013 Hi Mate , I only use N 160 in my 243 . I use 42 gr with a 95 gr Hornady SST on deer up to reds. I was thinking of using 87 gr V-Max for fox ,and I would use 42 - 43 gr of N160. Hope that is a help,O the load gives me about 3000 fps from my rifle .
