bicykillgaz
Hi gents, Does anyone use the above scales sold by Henry krank? The lee scales I've got are a bit fiddly I can't afford a decent set of rcbs like I would prefer so thought these May be a decent alternative. There apparently accurate to .01gr and come with a calibration weight and two powder measures and a pan for £46. Just wondered if anyone had them and how you find them. phaedra1106
Typical digital scales, not bad but not great, the .01gr accuracy is misleading, they only display in tenths of a grain so you would only see +/- .1gr increments. If you want to be able to weigh charges consistently and accurately you can usually find a set of used RCBS 5-0-5 scales for around that price, couple them with a Target Master trickler and you have a very accurate powder dispensing system. If you just want to spot check then there are loads of scales on eBay that will do the same job cheaper. Just to add I have 2 x cheap eBay digital scales, a Smart Reloader digital scale and a set of RCBS 5-0-5s, no difference in the 3 digital scales, they all read the same with the check weights and are used for spot checks on my progressive presses which have Lee Pro-Auto Disk powder dispensers. For the .308 target loads I use a Hornady Lock n Load Auto Dispenser. Edited October 20, 2013 by phaedra1106
bicykillgaz
I think I'll dig out some stuff to sell and get some proper scales, it's .22hornet I'm loading for and .1gr seems to make a big difference so I'm after accuracy rather than speed. Thanks for the info mate.
roger3167
Have the smartloader benchrest scales. No problem with them but they were much dearer than the ones you are enquiring about.
